Choice Programs Application Information

In addition to home schools, Iredell-Statesville Schools offer families a menu of school options, each with a signature theme or program that provides unique educational opportunities designed to engage students' interests and talents.  I-SS Choice Programs include 3 Early Colleges, International Baccalaureate (IB) schools, Advanced Placement academies, Dual Language Immersion schools, A+ Arts Integration school, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) programs, a Fine Arts magnet, a Career Academy, and virtual learning options. 

The window of applications for 2025-2026 entry into an early college program will begin on January 1, 2025.  Applications for entry will be accepted through January 31, 2025. 

 

EARLY COLLEGE APPLICATION TIMELINE

This application timeline is for entry into all early college high schools (ASEC, CCTL, or Crossroads)

  • Application is open:  January 1-31
  • Data Collections & Application Review: Feb. 1-March 7
  • Phone calls to offer seats for 2025-26 school year:  March 18-March 31
  • Mail home wait list letters: March 31
  • Final List of students:  The list of accepted students will be sent to the district and middle schools: March 31

 

UPCOMING INFORMATIONAL EVENTS

Throughout the year, our early colleges offer opportunities to learn more about their programs in person and virtually. Learn more about the early colleges by attending one of the following information sessions.

Collaborative College for Technology and Leadership (CCTL)

  • Thursday, December 5th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Shearer Hall on the Mitchell Community College campus.*
  • Saturday, December 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Shearer Hall on the Mitchell Community College campus.*

Crossroads Arts and Science Early College

  • Thursday, December 19th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in Mac Gray Auditorium on the campus on Statesville High School and Crossroads*

* These open houses are not a drop-in format. A whole group presentation will take place first, followed by guided tours and a small group information session. Please arrive at the start time.

Agriculture and Science Early College (ASEC)

  • Tuesday, December 17th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the campus of North Iredell High School and ASEC. This event will be a family style event with food, fun, tours, and information about their program and offerings. Join us to become part of the ASEC family.
